Welcome to 4th and 5th Grade Physical Education! This is my seventh year at Jackson as the P.E. teacher and I am so very excited to be apart of the Jackson Family. I also have experience as a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade teacher. I absolutely love working with children and I especially love teaching them about living a healthy an active life.
Physical Education is an important pice of your child's education. Participation in physical education contribute to the students overall academic success and performance in school. P.E. is also a perfect time to teach children about working together, being a team player, showing good sportmanship and accepting everyone no matter their ability level. My desire is to have all students leave physical education class with a positive attitude and the urge to be physically active throughout their lifetime.
Due to Covid-19, we've made a few changes to the P.E. program. First, all students are required to wash their hands before and after P.E. class. This year students WILL be able to play games and sports as a group. They will also be able to participate in P.E. outside WITHOUT a mask on. However, if the weather or air quality dictates we need to be inside for P.E., then the students will need to wear a mask.
