Our Daily Schedule: 

 

11:40 - 12:15  Pledge, attendance, calendar math, songs, stories, nursery rhymes and other poems.  Action songs and stretch breaks are included during this time. 

 

12:15-12:30 Handwriting activities on Mon, Tues and Fridays.

12:15- 12:35 - Music on Wednesdays and Library on Thursdays from 12:05- 12:30.  

 

12:30-12:40  Bathroom break  (All students have an opportunity to use the restroom at this time.  All students wash their hands before eating snack.

 

 

12:40-12:50  Eat Snack

 

12:50 - 1:00  Recess on the kindergarten playground.  (Some days we will do P.E. activities during this time as well.)

 

1:00 Line up and transition back to class, put snacks away. 

 

1:05- 2:15 (or so)  Workshop activities at the tables related to our theme of the week. (This is the time when I need parent volunteers the most.  Please plan to volunteer during this hour if you are able to do so, thank you.)

 

2:15-  Read aloud stories

 

2:20 - 2:45  Choice time

 (Students are allowed to choose between a variety of choice time activities such as legos, wooden blocks, books, dramatic play in the housekeeping area, post office, rice table, play dough, Zoobs, cars, animals, airplanes and spaceships, little people, dinosaurs, etc.  I usually allow 4 to 5 different choices each day.   This is also a time when I can work with students either individually, or in a small group to help them work on specific skills.) 

 

2:45- 3:00 Clean up/  Share time/stories, songs and reflections about the day.
