Weekly Star Student
Dear Family,
Your child's turn as the "Star of the Week" is upon us. Please, help us to make your child's week a success by completing the following activities included in this "Take-Home Bag."
1) Read the book, Star of the Week by Barney
Saltzberg with or to your child.
2) Help your child complete the "Read all About
Me!" poster. Please put your best
effort into coloring this poster, it will be on
display in the classroom for the whole week.
3) Complete the "Star of the Week" journal
entry.
4) Collect three to six of your favorite
photographs to be displayed around the
poster.Send them to school along with the
bag on Monday.All photos will be returned
at the end of the week.
5) Your child may keep the "Star of the Week"
goodie bag containing a pencil, sunglasses,
bookmark, and sticker. All other items must be
returned to school on Monday.

Schedule of Events: These days may change, however your student will be able to participate in each activity at some point during their week :).
Monday- Return poster and bring three special things to share from home.
Tuesday- Pictures (6-8 favorites from home-please do not mount on a poster board)
Wednesday- Bring something from home (special book, toy, something special about you) to share with the class.
Thursday- Parents write a letter to the class about you!
