In TK, we have some very important goals and expectations:
*We are working on becoming life time learners.
*We want to create an environment where learning is fun!
*We learn that each person is responsible for using their "life skills."
*We stress the importance of building independence.
*We all need time, space, and support.
*We believe that being organized makes learning easier.
*We are all responsible for classroom materials.
*We do our personal best...our work should make us feel proud!

Throughout the year students will have a number of opportunities to be the "Queen Bee or King Bee."  This is a special day for your child to be a classroom helper and even bring in something to share that is important to them.  They will find out the day before when it is their turn.

School Library

Once a week, on Wednesdays, we will be visiting the school library where your TK students will be able to check out a book to enjoy for the week.  The library books are due the next week.  I will put a library crate outside on Tuesday mornings to collect books before our library visits on Wednesdays.

Friday Folders

On Friday of each week, I will place a crate outside with our Friday folders to be taken home at the end of the day.  Please grab it that day and bring it home.  Inside you will find news from our school or class, completed work, and more!  Some time over the weekend, empty the folder out and go over the papers, notes, and work with your TKer.  Return the empty folder to school on Monday!
