2022 Jackson Cross Country: Sign-up TODAY!!!!!

 

Are you ready to have fun while running?  Jackson’s cross country team is starting on Monday, August 22nd.  Practices are Monday and Wednesday mornings from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM.  Meets are held off site after school and begin at 3:30 PM.  The meet schedule is 9/7, 9/15, 9/21, 9/28 and 10/11 (Finals). There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, August 16th at 6:00 PM in Jackson's library.   If your student is interested in participating, please attend the meeting and email Leslie Ellwood (Forms Coordinator) at leslierivlin@gmail.com ASAP with your child’s name, grade, teacher and your phone number.  

 

Before your child can begin participating, we will need the following forms turned in:

 

Please note - Your child CANNOT start practices without a physical form completed!!!!! If a physical was completed in the past year you can e-mail the form to your doctor to have it filled out without having to get another physical.

 

Most forms can be downloaded off the Jackson Elementary School Website (under Activities) at: www.myjacksonelementary.com or you can pick up a packet at the school office. 

 

If you are unable to get your physical before then, please contact Leslie Ellwood, Andrea Pengel or Craig Whichard.  Forms can be turned into the office, Leslie or Craig.

 

We are in need of parents to volunteer to help out at the meets.  We will be hosting a meet this season on 9/15 at the EDH CSD and will need as many parent volunteers as we can get to make it a success.  For other meets, we will need drivers, snacks, and meet parents.  Duties will include arriving at the meet location early and securing our team a place to gather, keeping the runners together and gathering participants for the next race per grade level and assisting with sign-outs and clean up.
